PolymerVision, Readius to debut?
Past exactly one year since it has spoken for the last time the Readius, an instrument in half between a phone and an e-book reader, which is characterized by the presence of a flexible display and just roll around the body. He had spoken then of accessory to match the common mobile phones, which should have been provided by the operators (Telecom, Italy) in combination with special contracts. None of this has happened, although PolymerVision, born from a rib of Philips, the colors this year launch its product in the revised and corrected.
The pattern seen at Mobile World Congress 2008 is in fact identical aesthetically compared to that seen in the past, although a year of maturity of the product has led to interesting changes. The first and perhaps most important, is that now Readius can make calls, as integrates Triband connectivity and HSDPA. The user interface provides for the presence of only 8 buttons, designed to simplify the best equipment. The composition of the numbers is done far more difficult than with a normal phone, but there is to say that if you use numbers in the phone book, there is displacement.
The physical characteristics of the declared about 115 grams in weight, 5-inch display diagonal of 16 shades of gray, flexible, roll, USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 2.0 for communicating with other devices, expandability up to 8GB thanks to a type of memory card Micro SDHC.
What you appreciate time Readius is a good versatility, although the function e-reader is always to greater weight. Used as a reader of text files, the unit boasts 30 hours of battery life and an almost perfect readability in any light conditions and with any inclination. The debut is expected in the middle of this year, even if we have learned to take the necessary precautions with these estimates.
