In times of crisis, the energy is not only an interest related to environmental protection and protection against global warming, but also a matter of economics. Perhaps for these reasons are multiplying on the market the solutions they adopt a philosophy more ‘green’.

O2 has launched a UK charger for mobile high-efficiency, which promises to save up to 70% of the energy that usually is dispersed by the normal cartridge. The new processor comes with a choice of connectors, which can cover virtually the entire range of mobile operator.

The charger can be purchased at discounted price along with a phone O2 to about 7.50 pounds, about half the normal price of purchase. The connector is sold separately and has a cost of around £ 5. The charger is in conformity with the guidelines U.S. Energy Star.

A search was estimated at almost 35 million Euros the cost of wasted leaving the charger attached to the network even when the phone is charging, with a waste of energy per cell of about 2.8 kWh per year.
