Transcend, a well-known manufacturer of memory modules and solutions for storage launches new line of units with Solid State Drive 2.5-inch form factor. According to the manufacturer, the new drive in question are able to provide better performance than that of previous generation, and should provide a speed read and write even doubled.
At least on paper, the new Transcend discs promise to reach a speed of 159 MB / s read and 136MB / s write, Transcend makes no mention about the type of chip used in the production of these discs, but on the basis declared speed is plausible that it is memory SLC (Single-Level Cell).

The new SSD drives are available in two different versions are distinguished by the different interface than the now usual SATA II; Transcend has decided to make available variants with IDE connector. The new SSD drive also integrate a module ECC (Error Correction Code) for the automatic correction of errors in order to increase the reliability of the unit.

Thermaltake shows in the new series of homes in middle tower V9, composed by the models for now VJ40001W2Z and VJ40001N2Z. The two new houses differ only in some details: the V9 VJ40001W2Z is equipped with lights and fans left side bulkhead in plexiglass, while the V9 VJ40001N2Z adopting a more sober look.

The houses measure (WxHxD) 208 x 462 x 485 mm and are made using sheet metal SECC. In front of the house are 4 rooms from 5:25 to 2 inches and 3.5 inches for installation of optical drives and floppy drives, while inside the houses have other 5 rooms 3.5 inches, used in If the accommodation of your hard disks.
In the rear of the houses are rather openings 7 for the PCI slots. Again, as you can see in the picture above, the feeder was placed at the bottom of the case, are obviously on the bottom of these openings for the replacement air. For installation of this device is a special anchoring system that does not require the use of any tools, however, would have been preferable to have the most well-tested system of Thermaltake sleds.

The real strength of the new houses V9 seems to be the system for disposal of heat: in order to create an optimal air flow, you can install a fan 120 or 140 mm for the entry of fresh air on disks, a 120 mm in the rear for the extraction of hot water, a 230 mm extraction always at the top, and finally a 70 mm bulkhead on the right. In case the bundle is already included by the fans 120 and 230 millimeters. In addition, the case is prepared for installation of a liquid outer.
Finally they could not miss the front connector: 2 ports are USB 2.0 and audio jack connector 3.5 mm headphone and microphone, while there is a lack of a FireWire port. Currently, Thermaltake has not yet announced what will be the price of these new homes, for more information please see the press release published on the site of Thermaltake.
