ASUS presents ASUS G50V and G71V; two new notebooks dedicated to the world of gaming and equipped with the latest Intel Centrino 2 platform. ASUS G50V is capable of reproducing images in 16:9 format with a display from 15.6 “Glare WXGA resolution (1280 × 800 pixels), while ASUS G71V has a 17″ Glare WUXGA resolution (1920 × 1200pixel). The video subsystem provides for the adoption of a chip NVIDIA GeForce 9700 GS DDR3 512MB with Turbo Cache technology.

The cpu choice from Asus is the latest solution for Intel Core 2 Extreme T9400, supported by an allocation of memory and a 4GB module Intel Turbo Memory-2GB. As for storage, ASUS G50V is equipped with two hard drives for a total of 640 GB SATA (2×320GB), and G71V is well equipped with 1 Terabyte of capacity, guaranteed by the presence of two 500-Gbyte disks. Both models have also the Blu-ray and provide the HDMI interface, and a rotatable webcam 1.3 Mega Pixel integrated on the front.

The new gaming notebooks to come with the Asus proprietary technology ASUS Express Gate which allows access to the Web within seconds, to check email, chat or find information quickly on the Internet. ASUS Express Gate is basically a small Linux distribution loaded onboard capable of making available some elementary applications, whose start-up times are much reduced.

ASUS G50V and G71V have the features ASUS Direct Messenger that allows you to view messages of any chats on a small OLED display built into the handset. The notebook ASUS G50V and G71V are covered by 2 year warranty with formula pick up and return, which includes the withdrawal and return home by courier, and are covered also by free insurance against accidental damage, good for the first year from date of purchase.

The ASUS G50V notebook will be available at a price of 1799 Euros including VAT, while ASUS G71V will be on sale at a price of 2199 Euros VAT included.
